Here they are, at our house, the night before they caught an early flight out of Bemidji Wednesday morning. They had a long layover in Minneapolis, another long layover in Amsterdam, a stopover in Kartoum (Sudan) and finally arrived in Ethiopia around 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Jim (my Dad) will be teaching elementary students at a school built and funded by Children's Home Society and Family Services in St. Paul. Karen (my Mom) will be working with children and their caregivers at the care center (orphanage) that is operated by CHSFS. They will return to Minnesota on April 1, 2010.
